My name is Kristen Thomsen and I am the owner of Safe Pet Sitters. I am an avid lover of all pets big and small.  I created Safe Pet Sitters because I came across the same problem many of my customers have come across. What can I do with my pets when I am away?  My husband travels for business and I have taken every opportunity to travel with him in the past. I created Safe Pet Sitters because I wanted to have a safe environment for my pets, but I also wanted to create a safe environment for other peoples pets.

I began pet sitting for family and friends at 16 years old as a sophomore at a local Cedar Rapids High School. Now , 10 years later, I decided it was time to share my knowledge and love for animals with others. Since the age of 18 I have worked in corporate facilities in Cedar Rapids. I got married last year and my husband allowed me to stop working in a job that I was unhappy with and gave me the opportunity to do something that I love. Everyday is a new adventure and it is such a joy to meet new people and the animals they love.

As owners of animals we wonder what they will be like as they get big, little do we know how much of an impact we will have on their personality traits. May we all have positive impacts on our furry family members. I look forward to serving my current and new customers.
